13 Jul Sweet Treats & Good Eats at Iron Mountain Hot Springs
Iron Mountain Hot Springs is celebrating two big days in July with cool, creamy summertime treats and we’re adding more items to the menu at the poolside Sopris Café.
In July, we’ll mark two very special occasions, one is a national holiday and the other is our anniversary. This month we’re celebrating National Ice Cream Day and Iron Mountain Hot Springs’ third anniversary! We’ll be combining and commemorating both of these mid-summer events on Sunday, July 15 with ice cream floats for the sweet price of just one buck ($1). Hot springs and cool treats are a guaranteed feel-good summer combo.
Soda and ice cream is just one great combo available at Iron Mountain Hot Springs, find more palate-pleasing variety at the Sopris Café. We recently added a new pizza to our roster of house favorites. Our Hawaiian flatbread pizza joins a selection that includes pepperoni, BBQ chicken, Greek, Brie & Cranberry and Pesto Basil varieties.
Wraps and salads are a good option for pool-goers who want something healthy and hearty that doesn’t go overboard on the carbohydrates. Choose your type of tortilla (tomato basil or spinach) and your preferred filling (roast beef, chicken, turkey and ham or veggie) for a nutritious and satisfying lunch. If you’re eschewing carbs altogether, our meat and cheese tray offers plenty of protein and a serving of fruit.
When it comes to salads, nothing says summer quite like a Caprese salad. Try ours—ripe red tomatoes are topped with mozzarella cheese, a mix of fresh salad greens and basil and drizzled with a tangy balsamic vinaigrette— it’s delicious! Other options that offer an ample dose of greens with fun fixings include the Chef Salad, Greek Salad and Spinach Salad.
Our fruit smoothies are always a hit with guests. Sure, they’re cool, refreshing and sweet on a hot summer’s day, but they can also be a great way to incorporate a serving of fruit in your diet. Orange Dream is our newest smoothie creation; it combines soft serve vanilla ice cream (you can substitute milk for just a $1 more), one whole orange and orange juice. Mixed Berry, Banana Cream and Energy Boost are also popular choices.
In the beverage department, the Sopris Café has something for everyone, from fountain drinks, sodas and specialty hydration to beer, wine and premixed cocktails.
When your order is ready, enjoy your meal at the Sopris Café, in the shade of an umbrella-topped poolside table or at your personal space on our terraced decking. The only thing we ask is that you don’t eat food while soaking and please dispose of your trash when you’re finished eating as the winds can pick up quickly.
