12 Jan Making Progress
We are making progress at Iron Mountain Hot Springs! The walls are going up on the main lodge building. It will house a ticket office, locker rooms, lockers and a gift shop on the main floor and offices upstairs. There will be separate locker rooms for men, women and families to make sure everyone has a comfortable place to shower and change clothes.
The new Iron Mountain Hot Springs is scheduled to open the summer of 2015. It’s located on the north bank of the Colorado River in Glenwood Springs. Guests will be able to relax and rejuvenate in 16 different mineral soaking pools. All ranging in different temperatures from 98 to 108°F. The five most abundant minerals that will be found in the soaking pools are iron, sulfate, chloride, sodium and calcium. Iron and sulfate are known for their relaxing qualities. Guests will be able to enjoy magnificent views, which vary from pool to pool, including the Colorado River as it winds through the valley, Iron Mountain, Red Mountain, the Flat Tops and the twin peaks of majestic Mt. Sopris to the south. We are excited about making progress to the mineral pools and freshwater family pool. Stay tuned!
