11 Feb Love: Ruby & Romance at Iron Mountain Hot Springs
Like all of the soaking pools at Iron Mountain Hot Springs, our heart-shaped pool named Ruby is a gem. During the month of Valentine’s Day we’re showcasing this charmer and a few other ideas to foster affection in Glenwood Springs.
Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs is a romantic Colorado destination. Its 16 steamy thermal springs soaking pools vary in size, shape and temperature. One that’s a favorite, especially among couples, is Ruby our heart-shaped pool.
The shape of love
Ruby is one of the first pools you’ll encounter when you exit the bathhouse. It’s situated, along with Mother Lode, Moonstone and Turquoise, on the uppermost level of the terraced hillside that overlooks the Colorado River. Like the water in all the soaking pools, Ruby is filled with 100 percent pure thermal spring water for a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating soak. Each of Iron Mountain’s 16 pools has a distinct form; Ruby is designed in the shape of a heart which has turned out to be a hit with guests.
Indeed, the pool is a favorite spot for couples to take snapshots as a keepsake of their visit to Iron Mountain Hot Springs. To photograph a lovely moment in this special pool, we recommend coming early in the day or during the week when attendance is lower and the odds of getting the perfect shot of just the two of you increases dramatically. Another word of advice for couples, always remember to be respectful of other pool-goers by keeping public displays of affection to a minimum.
